FAQ

Frequently asked questions

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY SESSION?

That depends on the type of shoot. In average, your session should be booked at least two weeks in advance. Your portrait shoot date should be at least six weeks prior to the date you need your finished products. We will go over the timeline during our discovery consultation.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SHOOT?

Once you book your session, you will receive an email with a guide on what to wear and how to prepare for your big day. I am also available to help you pick your outfits. Some sessions include a pre-shoot Wardrobe Consultation, where we’ll discuss fail-proof wardrobe tips and select the outfits that will bring out your best. This pre-shoot consultation is normally done via Zoom, but I can also come to your home and help you select the best outfits and accessories to wear right from your closet. In addition, I will always be available to answer any questions you might have at any point in the process, so when in doubt just reach out! Make sure to have all your outfits dry-cleaned/washed and ironed for the shoot.

WHERE ARE THE PORTRAIT SESSIONS DONE?

Your portrait session can be done at my home studio, at your own home or at any other location you want. I am available for travel anywhere in the world, so if you have a dream location in mind let’s chat and make it happen! Some location sessions may need to be scheduled a little further in advance, but with a little planning everything is possible! Travel fees will apply.

WHERE IS YOUR STUDIO?

I am located in the Desert Ridge area. The exact address will be provided once you book your session.

CAN I HAVE SOMEONE WITH ME AT MY SESSION?

Absolutely! I don’t mind at all if you bring someone to your photo session, as long as they are your biggest supporter, will cheer for you, and do not interfere with the shoot (directing posing, telling you what to do, changing things, etc…) as I will handle anything along those lines as needed. Children are only allowed if they are being photographed as well, but please make sure you have someone watching them when they are not on the set.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO SPEND ON PORTRAITS AND WHEN CAN I SEE YOUR FULL PRICE LIST?

What you spend is entirely up you. We offer a la carte options as well as packages. Some people are happy with only a couple of images, while others want wall art for their entire home, a folio collection and an album to gift. The average portrait client spends between $2500-$3500. During your consultation you will get access to a full price list and become familiar with the products that will be available for purchase during your viewing and ordering session. You don’t have to decide what to purchase or how much to spend until you see your final images.

DO YOU WORK ON WEEKENDS?

Yes, on Saturdays! Weekend sessions are popular for people who have office jobs and can’t always get time off. Shoot days are Wed-Sat. If you are interested in booking a Saturday session, please contact us directly to check availability.

I AM NOT TOO COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF A CAMERA, CAN YOU HELP?

No worries! I will guide you through out the entire shoot so you don’t have to worry about a thing! Most people are very shy when they have a camera and lights pointed at them, so you are not alone. It is my job to make you feel comfortable and look your best on every shot.

DO YOU SHOOT WEDDINGS?

I do not shoot weddings (or any other events), but I do shoot portraits of brides in their wedding dress after the the big day and couples before or after their wedding. I also do boudoir-style portraits, which are very popular as wedding day gifts. If you are looking for a wedding photographer to cover your big day I will be happy to give you a referral.

HOW MUCH RETOUCHING DO YOU DO?

I can retouch as much or as little as you want. I will remove anything that is temporary (pimples, skin blemishes, dark circles, scratches, bruises, etc…), but will keep or minimize the appearance of anything that is permanent (moles, scars, tattoos, etc…), unless you specifically request otherwise. Part of my process is learning from you if there are any areas (face and body) you are concerned about.  I will then pose and light you to make you look the most beautiful self!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I BOOK A SESSION AND CHANGE MY MIND, CAN I BE REFUNDED?

The session fee is not refundable, but it can be applied to a future date if you cancel at least four days before your scheduled session date. If you fail to show or cancel three or less calendar days before your session date, the entire session fee shall be forfeited and a new session fee will be required to reschedule your shoot. You have one year from the first scheduled session date to reschedule a new session. After one year, the entire session fee shall be forfeited and a new session fee will be required to reschedule your shoot.
